Care for Leather Gaiters...

I got a pair of lovely leather gaiters there, and I'm wondering how I should clean them? Should I oil them before wearing them, or just wear them in without oiling? And how should I clean them? Should I use glycerine soap? All advice appreciated

Wouldn't oil them that often, plus you may end up dying bits of Castle's coat

For mine, I tend to use the polish that you can buy for the matching boots. I wash off the dirt/grease etc with a damp cloth. Put loads of polish on, then rub it in very very well using the spit & polish trick.

And they tend to come up really really well.

I have also used saddle soap at times

i always use polish and rub of muck with damp cloth...seems to do wonders to make shine..
