Careers with horses? Back specialist? Physio?

Hi
I am interested in working with horses, and liked the idea of something like a back specialist? If such a thing? Or physiotherapist, what I wanted to ask was is there such thing as a back specialist? If so how to you become one? Also I know for animal physiotherapy you have to do the human first, but is there much call for a animal physio?
Also if anyone has any other career suggestions along these lines? Thanks

don;'t know about other jobs but physios and chiros have to qualify on people before they work on horses

And don't mention horses when you have your university interview!
Competition for physiotherapy students is very tough, you need good A level results.

The physios have also had a hard time finding first jobs for past year or two as the NHS cut funding. Most eventually find something though (my daughter has a friend who was qualified about 8 months before she got her first physio job.)

The plus side of physiotherapy is that it is a NHS funded course, so you don't have to pay course fees, and you get a bursary (which about pays the rent).

Chriopractors and osteopaths have to learn in a private college. My daughter looked into about 5 years ago and then is was £6,000 per year tuition fees, for the first 2 years and £8,000 for the second two years, plus living expenses. It was beyond our means, but if your parents are used to paying boarding school fees it would be around the same I should think.
