Does any one have any experience of Carlton House Farm, and their Polo lessons. The guy who does the lessons is Fabio Lavinia looking at their website.

http://www.cheqc.co.uk

My OH has said he might like to have a go. He is not at all horsey so was really surprised and thought I would try to book him a beginners lesson.

I lived close to it when I was younger but it was just a farm then.

thankies in advance

I don't know Carlton House Farm at all but I've played polo with Fabio Lavinia before. He's a good teacher (Argentine but speaks excellent English) and also gives lessons on his own horses at Suffolk Polo Club. If your OH is not horsey, it might be best to have a one on one beginners lesson and if he likes it then he can join a group lesson. I should probably warn you that polo is very addictive - never heard of anyone who had only one lesson!

Hurrah!

I have been trying to get him in to horses for YEARS!!!!!

I got him golf lessons for Christmas (so boring) then the other day I he said he thought he would enjoy polo and found Carlton house farm. Only 10 miles from us - amazing as there is NOTHING in Norfolk uasually!

Yes, I would get him the beginers lessons first. I think he will get a shock as he is one of those annoying people who is good at everything and I think he thinks he can just get on and play!!! He thinks riding is just sitting down, he will learn!!!

Their website looks excellent.

I lived really close when I was younger and it was just a farm then with a few horses. Super part of the world!

I have spent many hours at Carlton over the last year and have nothing but praise for the location and their staff.

My website has some shots of their charity polo event last year: Carlton House pictures plus the newcomer polo on 29/09/07 where you can see a match with those that have been having lessons there.

They have another polo tournament coming up this April (see Horsedates for details) - come along and see what it is like.

They are local to me and I have heard nothing but good things about them

. I know people who have gone on their organised pub rides and had a great time

. When they opened, they held a charity polo match and raised £5000. Definitely worth going
