Carob Kibble

Well if you have only lived in Britian then you would most probably would not have heard of it. I discovered it on ebay about a month ago, and tried it out because a friend of mine got it and said it was great. Well she was right, I've been using it ever since, it has improved all my horses conditions hugely, and has even calmed down the fizzy ones, as far as I know the people on ebay are the only suppliers in the country, but that's fine by me because their prices are good too. It's pretty good feed. LOL

Thank you horseybaby, think I might give it a try! I emailed the ebay suppliers and they said you feed 300g a day but their bags were only 950g! How much do you feed and how long does it last you?

Hello mooney last month I ordered the bigger bags of the carob kibble i think you are looking at the autions? but when they did the special offers on the autions with the free buckets i bought loads, they are very nice people to deal with and they do a buy it now too. I give mine about 1 kilo a day give or take, i mix it with my grass nuts, but i'm goning to try there alfa to see what its like too, caz i'm very happy with the carob kibble. LOL

Just to let you know that they are not the only suppliers of carob kibble, as I get from somewhere else & you dont have to lug a 40kg bag around either. Mine come in 20kg bags & much easier & cheaper depending on how much you buy.

I'm a little confused this person who claims the sole importer of carob kibble only supplies in 40kilo sacks obiviously hasn't bought from them because if they did then they would have seen that they supply carob kibble and other products in 20, 25, 30 kilos or what ever weight you desire. I have researched carob kibble and have spoken to the multiple animal feed merchants all over the country and abroad and as yet have not found any supplier other than in Turkey who could offer value for money in comparsion with the valley view animal feed company based in cornwall the cost in Turkey is equalivent to £180 a ton before transport and shipping costs so i would be taken this persons remark with a pinch of salt.

hi everyone just taught i'd let you all know i buy the carob kibble 40 kilo bags every month and they are great value at only 19.98 for 40 kilos not only do my horses love it but i'm saving a fortune on not having to buy supplements i buy mine from valley view in cornwall. lol

Hi well I dont buy mine from them & definately buy it from my feed merchant. If you also research locust bean on the web then you will find the info. Locust bean is another name for Carob along with St Johns bread. If you want any more onfo then PM me and I will let you have details.

Hi, well I saw this and thought that I would also state that me & my friends also dont buy our carob kibble from Looe valley feeds so therefore they cant be the sole importer of this feed. Think someone needs to do more research before stating such facts

Lol @ all the foals bumping the carob kibble post! :D

Am I the only one who just couldn't bring themselves to feed something called 'kibble' to their horse? Silly maybe... :p

Gummybear and spiritstables sound like the same person, and of course I know locust bean and carob are the same! Supplier are normally wholesalers and feed merchants are normally retailers, so it does not take much at all to work out where the feed merchant is getting their carob from. If you do indeed have another that sells carob why don't you put the details on here so that we can all see who they are? I'm not in a habit of messaging people I do not know so on this forum would be better. Lol

Well I can asure you that i have no idea who guumybear1 is. The only reason i didnt put any websites down is because I was being very careful as H&H have been getting funny about it, but as you ask I will give you two sites.
www.junglegold.com
www.mmfeeds.com
Now I found both of these when i researched carob when I saw the products on ebay.

Yes it does seem spiritstables and gummybear are the same person, and having spent time looking into the two web links - one does not have any for sale at all, and the other is double the price, so much for the locust bean being cheaper as quoted by spiritstable! I can only assume this person has other motives for posting mis-leading information. Not helpful at all just a waste of time.

I could actually say something about Horseelady & Tallyhoo but I am not here to throw accussations around about other people on this forum. All I said is that there is more than one importer of the product, so how can this firm go around stating that they are the ONLY one as this is a misleading comment. It implies that they are they only ones you can get it from, which is wrong. Also, if you send mm feeds an email, they will tell you where your closest supplier is & mine is one of my feed merchants in Devon.
Last I heard we were a free country & were actually allowed to state if what was written infront of us was not actually true.
Therefore, if these people cannot take the competition then they should not be state such facts unless they actually true

To be quite frank spiritstables this forum was meant to be about people who tried the carob and to share what the results were i don't think people really give a toss who imports it or not as long as they get a good service and good value for money i phoned the one of the links you recommended and they are just too expensive and the other is almost twice as much as what i am paying now so i cannot understand what you it is that you are really going on about why don't you just give us useful information and tell us what we want to hear the results of you using carob!

I go away & come back to find accusations flying around. Some people have no idea do they!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I posted on here to back someone on here who for reasons known only to horseelady & tallyhoo was being given a hard time because they dared to ask a question. The product in general was not knocked, in fact if it was abad product why would they use it?
I personally think that people should be a bit more polite & the way it is written by these two it sounds like they are not who they want us to be.
Anyway, yes Carob is a good product & I buy mine for £10 per bag & no delivery costs. I cant say fairer than that, as it must cost a fortune to Sussex from Cornwall!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
