carr & day & martin hoof moisturiser - any good??

been told by my farrier that i need to moisturise my horse's hoof daily (if poss). ive seen this product - is it any good or is there a better one? I wont use anything oil based as it prevents more problems than its meant to treat!

Vaseline is the best and a lot cheaper

Haven't used it, but have been through many others until I discovered Kevin Bacons - will never use anything else now - it's brilliant stuff

Don't know about that one, but Effol is pretty good and water based I believe.

Hoof moist is water based and its very good. Its made by naf and you can get plain white cream of if your going to a horsey party you can get it in black.

Its around £5-£6 a pot and i find its lasts quite well.
