Carreg's boast about his "tally" being up a third made me think: is this what life is really about? Killing animals? If animals need to be culled, so be it, but what does it say about someone (and I'm talking in general now) who gets a genuine pleasure or gratification from dispatching a creature? I think this is the chasm which divides us: normal, hard-working country folk, and our hunting neighbours.

Tom

If you remember correctly Hymie lives in Greenwich SW London. He likes to claim its Blackheath, but we know its really Greenwich!.

Thats about as countryfide as a New Labour voter gets.

perhaps you'd like to point me in the direction of any post on any forum where I boast about killing anything, do yourself a favour read through my back posts it might give you a better idea of the type of person your posting about, I dont brag or boast about killing animals, I dont think its fun and I dont derive any pleasure or gratifiction from killing foxes, they need killing, I kill them, thats it in a nutshell. On another thread you posted how wonderful T.B was for introducing a so called ban on hunting, I merely pointed out a few facts about it......Y.I.S...........Carreg

"More people hunting, terrierwork still legal, my personal tally up by almost 30%...Thank you so much Mr blair............Carreg"

Hello Reginald,

As you say, Mr. Blair introduced the hunting act 2004 in an effort to put a stop to the barbarity of the hunting fraternity and their ilk.

What we have seen since is a campaign from the hunting fraternity to overturn the legislation and they openly 'boast' about how they will ignore the act and about how many animals they can kill.

Sadly, the nature of the beast never changes and I very much doubt you will be able to convince many on here about the many sports and pursuits there are to be had in the rural communities that do not involve killing. Carreg is by far one of the worst barbarians and here is no chance of reasoning with him. Old Tom_thumb and Soggy_Brain have more to say of interest, although they are a little misguided and fail to see what 10 years of Labour government has done for them, their farms/allotments and more importantly, the rural communities, now and for the long term!

Regards

If Tony Blair introduced the hunting act to "put a stop to the barbarity of the hunting folk and their ilk", why didn't he make sure that much crueller methods of killing were also outlawed? After all we're still allowed to chase the fox with hounds, just as long as we either shoot it or let it be killed by an eagle instead. Snaring is also still allowed, isn't it?
So why don't you just stop pretending you actually care about our so-called "barbarity", and admit that you have the same prejudice as most antis in that you think we're all just a bunch of toffs who spend our days prancing about on horseback and never do an honest days work.

Hi L-B,

Yes, at least Soggy_doodah and Tom_wotsit don't attempt to hide the fact that they're eejits. Carreg, on the other hand, seems to want to persuade us that he digs out foxes out of some sense of duty i.e. that he in no way enjoys the experience. Even the most rabid pro on here doesn't buy that!

"I have to admit I am finding it harder and harder to do a full honest days work.
I think it is age that is doing for my concentration span."

Yes, that and looking forward to the next day's hunting.

I do! :D :D

Hello Reginald,

If there are 'extremists' among the "antis" then Carreg is certainly an extremist of the hunting fraternity.

As another of their dwindling number said on this thread, the Fraternity have sought to exploit and test the law to the max. Using Eagles and other dubious methods to ensure a kill. It is time for the rule of law to be restored in the countryside, Mr. Brown must not allow his Government to be intimidated by threats from the Countryside Alliance and their kind.

The very people that talk about respecting the law and the importance of a civilised society are the same people that choose to break the terms of the hunting act time and time again.

But then, as we know, the Nature of the Beast Never Changes!

Regards

I don't think we live in a civilised society. Do you ?

When we are in such a minority and hunting is on it last legs ?

As consistent as ever !

I think your precious Zanu Labour movement is causing all the social disharmony !

Half a million country people marching against Labour.

A million marching against Blairs Iraq adventure.

Maybe it didn't happen.

Doesn't seem to have stopped you on the other site. Don't worry, we nasty antis will stop bullying you, promise!

You have a high opinion of yourself !

Have you suffered from delusions for long?
