Pony and trap rider killed in smash
A pony and trap driver was killed on Friday after a collision with a car.
The 42-year-old female, believed to be a traveller, died at Milton Keynes Hospital after the smash on the V4 Watling Street, near Calverton, at 8.50pm.
A 14-year-old boy, thought to be the woman's son, who was a passenger in the trap was also taken to hospital for lacerations, but his condition is not life-threatening.
The road was closed until 10.30pm following the collision with a Citroen C1 Rhythm.
Police are appealing for witnesses to contact PC Claire Greene on 0845 8 505 505, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
