My welsh is going very well in the 4 wheeler now, and we've started extending our range.
Today we did 16 miles. He did well, and finished on a half mile steep uphill, which he tackled without hesitation, even though it's not a light carriage. He is barefoot, and although his feet are probably the worst of all my horses (deep quarter cracks on both fores), his hooves are wearing beautifully.
Those who drive - how far do you go, and how far would you think is reasonable.
Do you take breaks etc?
