Have just seen on Bransby home of rest for horses that Spud was put to sleep on the 18th May after several bouts of Colic.

RIP spudlet, I hope the two years after your rescue were the best years of your life

RIP Spud, bless him.

A gentle reminder to everyone to support Bransby by buying Hovis' book perhaps? They did such a good job with those two.

Amazing that two horses of that age were nursed back to health. I often think of the couple (no names mentioned - they didn't want any public recognition) who brought them to the attention of HHO. They weren't 'horsey' , they could just see that things weren't right. What an outstanding act of compassion.

RIP Spud.
