Carrot Stretches

Does anyone know how to do these without horse getting nippy? I have been doing them for the past week with Miss and she has started nudging for more treats and had my glove off today! Is this behaviour inevitable? I normally never give treats by hand to avoid this.

If you can get away with it, do the stretches without a treat then give the treats on the last two.

Not sure if that'd work for you, I have to get my oldie to stretch his nose to his shoulder and repeat x3, so he does it the first 2 times thinking he's getting a treat and on the last 1 go he actually gets his treat etc etc
