There is a spate of break ins on cars at the moment near us. It has been mainly at riding schools. The offenders are in a blue car and it is a group of lads. The riding schools in question are on single track roads and it is at many different times of day. They must be brave as there is no quick get away from these places but they haven't been caught.
They are smashing a window and taking handbags and also going through glove compartments. Make sure you lock your bags in your boot and keep an eye out for anyone suspious. We live near the NEC in the West Midlands

This happened to me a few years ago - they drove up in a van, reversed up to the side of my car, smashed the window, lent over and took a whole load of stuff and drove off... RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!

Even though I gave full descriptions of van (which was also signwritten!) and the two lads who did it, the police never followed it up past the initial interview - (and they knew who it was!)

Absolutely ridiculous! It's rich pickings for thieves... please be more cautious - after that i always took my bag with me onto the yard!

like to see their faces if they did mine - have dark tinted windows, and usually sat behind those windows are two german shepherds!!!!!

Had my car broken into when my horse was on box rest with laminitis two years ago, half five in morning, village location and car parked on yard drive. Think they must of seen me get out as they where driving past. Stole my bag with
purse, cheque book and mobile in it - still makes me feel physically sick thinking about it mainly cause I normally left my little dog in car and cause she's black and curled up on passenger seat I don't think they'd of seen her. The thought of the glass on her or them stealing her is horrid. As it was they managed to get fifty quid out of my account within five mins - didn't have much more in my account anyway as most of it was going on vet fees! The police found my drivers licence the next day so got that back. It was a crap year as had to have my horse pts not long after.

It's made me paranoid and I always keep anything of value on me at all times xx
