I was just wondering if anybody on here has had their horse treated with cartrophen injections recently, and how much it cost you?
My horse has had 2 courses of cartrophen for an arthritic hock over the last 4 years, and is getting near to the point of needing another course of them. Rather oddly though, the second course she had, (about 21 months ago) was nearly £200 CHEAPER than the course she had when first diagnosed nearly 4 years ago! So I was just wondering which of the 2 prices I've paid so far is more of the "going rate" so to speak.
Thank you in advance for any replies.

I bought a course of 6 Cartrophen injections and I think it cost me about £386.00. Vet fallout was extra on top of this. To be fair, it fixed my horses blown suspensory a treat so i thought was worth it. Are you insured? I think most insurers will pay out for it if that helps?

Your figure is about in the middle of the 2 we've paid so far!
Corrie is insured but not sure if they will still pay out for this treatment. (I leave the insurance up to my mum because I can never make heads nor tails of what half of it means.)
No matter what the price is, or wether insurance will still pay out for it or not, as soon as Corrie needs it, she will have it, it's just to help get an idea of what price to expect.
