i too have a cob and a caspian!!! The Caspian horse website is very good for info about them as a breed. Ours is chestnut gelding and he is 18yrs old. Is yours broken? My children ride ours, although he is very nappy and not good off lead rein, but I think that is not typical of the breed as they generally make great riding horses for small children. Teddy is a real character, a one person horse and very sensitive and complex. I love him to bits, although a little fine in build for my liking. He is probably 3rd generation from the original stallion brought over in the 1960s from Iran, I think and as a result his "wilder" instincts are quite strong. He loves a chat and always neighs if I am in the garden. He hates it if we go for a walk and he can see us, but is not with us! He is quite attached to my cob, (although she doesn't give a damn about him) which can be a bit of a pain.I would love to hear about yours as there are not many around.

Mine isn't backed as i got him from redwings as he was at a rare breeds farm but them owner died so he went to redwings. he 7yrs and grey. He is so sweet as he follows me around when i am mucking out , he even tried to come in the tack room with me ! He also calls out if he can see me but can't get to me ! hahah i love him to bits. My cob doesn't really care about him either although they do occasionly charge around the feild together xxx

For such a little squirt he has no idea of how short he is. He plays with my 16hh arab gelding and gives him what for. He is also registered as a Miniature Horse as well as a Part Bred Arab. He is the smallest registered part bred arab stallion with the Arab Horse Society in the UK.

They may be small but they have BAGS of character.

When I show him as a part bred arab I take his passport to proove that he is indeed a part bred. He is 50% Falabella and 22% Arab and the rest is Caspian.

He is a nut ball killer
