Hi all, how long after castration is it advisable for a horse to travel? 3-4 weeks? During this period, any tips on how to best speed up the process? Exercise? Many thanks

Sorry, I meant speed up the recovery....

how is he being done and how far will the journey be? if he is being done keyhole style at a clinic he can travel further than if he is done at the place he is kept

I had a 6yr old stallion castrated under GA, he traveled 10 miles home from clinic next day and I was advised to turn him straight out and leave him out so he would keep moving which would help with any swelling. He was castrated for his new owner and I think he went to his new home 2 to 3 weeks later by which time he had healed up.
