Cat advice please ( with pics )

Kitty Cat has been coming in lately covered in what appears to be mud! she is normally a very clean cat who cleans herself alot but now is very dirty. It is all around her mouth and down her legs. Also she is drooling abit. The 1st piccy was taken a few months ago, the second about 6 weeks ago and apologies for the quality of the others. She has dropped a bit of weight and does seem under the weather. She is 16 years old. I will be taking her to the vets but wondered if anyone had come across this with their cats. If you look closely you can see how dirty her legs are. Have also posted in SB. Poor Kitty.

Have answered in SB too...poss dental needed...monitor her fluid/food intake and get her vet checked.

is it dirt or saliva staining from her washing her mouth? saliva stains white fur brown. definitely say get her teeth and mouth checked out asap.

Gonna say teeth but they beat to me! Misty my cat is 14 she dribbles a bit... she got very few teeth! Leo my very old enormous tom cat died with no teeth, up to his death (18 i think) he still caught chickens! (i was in bad books with the farmers!)

I'd say defo teeth, and possibly laying her mouth on her legs while sleeping so dribbling on them, or more likely struggling to keep herself clean as her mouth is sore. Hope vet puts her right on Tues x
