Came home from work the other day and was informed by my OH that our cat had brought us in a present.

He's quite young, only been going out since Saturday and very small (malnourished rescue case that vet thinks was abandoned/taken from mum early), so was quite surprised to hear he'd already got something.

...and that something was some poor dog's chew toy! No idea where he's got it from as there are no dogs around us (as far as I'm aware), but would have loved to have seen his little fluffy face carrying it around the neighbourhood, and somehow managing to bring it through the kitchen window.

I really can't believe how much he makes me smile, never thought of myself as a cat person before meeting him!

Stormclouds.....That sounds like a lovely present!

My old cat used to fetch and return little balls that we made out of empty crisp packets. We would sit at the top of the stairs and flick them down and she would scamper down and collect them and bring them back up.
It was so funny, she was like a little dog.

Ive had all sorts brought in but thankfully never had a snake.dI'd definitely be like the lady in Tom and Jerry if that happened... I'd be up on that stool like a shot!

We've had a live mole (had to be rescued from under the stairs via a fishing net), a live young magpie in the kitchen and a weasel (it was caught alive by our little black girl..!). Both cats have always steered well away from the grass snakes though....but no knickers...thank goodness!!!
