Hi there, My 22 year old TB has just been diagnosed with cataracts in both eyes. His left is worse and vets thinks he has only blurred vision where as his right eye is only mild. First of all I might add that my boy has shown no sighns what so ever of having cataracts but a vet did a general health check and found them. So my question is has anyone here had any experience with herbal aids for cataracts? I have looked on line and found a couple of products that claim they can help reduce cataracts or improve clarity. I guess I want to know if there are any good products that could slow down any degeneration of these cataracts. Opinions / suggestions please!
Thanks x

UV has a big part to play with development of cataracts, I would suggest a good mask! Guardian masks are expensive but Ive heard really good things, I however use a 85% fly mask from Premier Equine fits really well and doesn’t come off like some ive tried. I wouldn’t buy the herbs or supp's as it will not help, cataracts will ALWAYS get worse, the rate dependent on the animal.
