catching a cheeky pony who wont come in if he doesnt want to!

basically as title.. if he doesnt want to come in,.. it will take a lot to pursuade him.. if i could i would go in with nuts, with the problem there is that we have a little companion who will just run in front then my pony will say, oh. ok . he is having the nuts, i will just walk off.. basically he is not interested.. he would live out 24/7/ all year if it was his way
i try to make work as exciting as i can, lots of variation, fun things.. he is not in any pain.. we have had him checked over recently.. any help would be greatly appreciated.. its such a time waster!!!

Yes, catch the other pony first. Don't always ride - just bring in and groom and small feed and turn out. Walk backwards towards pony. Leave a headcollar on it (fieldsafe) with a little bit of string hanging down for easy grabbing.
