Hi All,

Looking for some advice on my horses eyes after a comment made at the yard yesterday I am a little worried. He came in after being lunged yesterday and my sister was staning beside him giving him a fuss for being such a good boy, he turned his head a little and she then stood for a bit looking in to his eyes. I dont know if it was the light or just that she had never concentrated on his eyes before but mentioned that his eyes looked blue and as if he had cateracts in both eyes. I had a look but I will be honest I dont know what to look for or how to do it with the naked eye. He is shared between myself and my other sister and we will get the vet out to have a better look at him.

Does anyone have any pics of thier older horses eyes with / without cateracs/ experiences ect. I will get a pic tomorrow evening to post but any advice would be very much appreciated. He is a total gentleman putting up with me squinting at his eyes today, sometimes when you spend to long looking for something the mind can play tricks. Will be taking my torch tomorrow though as I have heard this can help you see this with the naked eye?

Info:He is a 16 (17 in a few months) Standardbred, very healthy, looks a lot younger than he is and was very well treated in his last home (& current :p ) no other issues whatsoever.
