Hi....

I was just teetering on the brink of purchasing 20 flectron ear tags - which seemed to be happening with no problems (someone previously mentioned having to give a cattle number or something - I was asked the breed for which I was purchasing it.....I wrote Friesian quite legitimately!!!) and then it came up with a page saying I was bound by contract to buy them before getting to last page with payment details..... Anyway I saw a thread here with several of you trying these things as a way to prevent flies and wondered how you were getting on and how effective they'd been in a very-fly ridden summer? I can only see the box online and don't know what they look like - my sweetitch affected girl is covered head to toe all the time and is still bothered by flies so I was thinking of sewing one onto a fly mask or something (don't leave her with headcollar on ever). Would this work?? Are they a shape that would make that easy enough? Thanks for any advice!!!??

Before we moved to a place where the wind blows the flies away, we used them quite effectively. We plaited them into their manes, thus doing away with the need for head collars. The ones we used were yellow triangles, worked quite well. Mind you this is some years ago.
