Caution - East Sussex

I have just received a phone message from the YO that three men parked with horse box opposite our field enquirying to YO daughter about our horses. Our yard is very small on a narrow lane with only the YO house and our horses with field, on this stretch of lane. Perhaps they were trying to find another yard in the area and all could be legit or perhaps not! This is not a rumour as YO daughter is unaware of the recent spate of "fake sightings" and is not something she would just make up. She has changed the padlocks and will inform me with all the info tomorrow which I will then update on this posting. This is in the Uckfield/Heathfield area of East Sussex.

Oh dear, could this be connected with the horse that has been stolen, see other thread posted by DonkeyLover.

Donkey Lover I have just read it and feel sick!! I have a lovely Belgium Warmblood which is an ex show jumper. My stomach is in knots. Will come back to you with info in the morning when I rush down to yard to see if my horse is still there!! Yes I am Panicking!!

Thanks Donkey Lover I have read your latest thread (see Belgium Warmblood mare stolen E Sussex). Whether its a personal grudge or not its still theft and a poor mare is involved! You must be so upset and angry. I will get details from YO this morning and post details later

More info now. Three middle aged men (English) in Ford Transit style van towing an empty horse trailer stopped and asked whether these were our horses? Drove off and were seen by others in the area. This was the talking point in the local pub last night as many locals saw these guys as it seemed so out of character. We have stepped up security with locks and padlocks/alarms etc. This is in the Uckfield/Heathfield area of East Sussex
