Cavallo hoof boot problem!

Hi everyone
I've been using Cavallo hoof boots for a few years now and have never experienced any problems. However, I got some size 4 boots for my 14.2hh gypsy cob mare about a year ago, and now the right one keeps coming off during canter!
I am confident with the size as these are the third pair I have brought and used (for 3 different horses), and the size 3's I already had wouldn't even go over her hooves.
The problem I do have is she is quite feathery....so using pastern wraps isn't easy and the Cavallo pastern wraps aren't great anyway. I also use gel pads. Any ideas what is going on and how I can stop it?? I know the boots loosen up after time but to go down a complete size is a bit unusual!

Could her feet have changed shape meaning that although they are the right size on paper they aren't a great fit? Measure her feet length and width and check the chart, you might be better with a simple or sport or a different brand.

I guess it has been very wet and muddy of late, so maybe the velcro is less sticky and her feathers/feet are certainly more wet and muddy than usual! I'll clean and dry them and also take the pads out; and find some socks to try as well. Next time the farrier comes I'll ask him to take a look too - if all else fails I might have to try a different boot
Thanks so much for all your suggestions! :)

Mine kicked off his usually very sticky Easyboot yesterday, I blame the mud making the velcro less sticky and putting extra strain on the boots. It'll probs be fine once the mud's gone!
