hi. im planning on heading over to the next sale at cavan. and wondered if anyone could give me a rough range price-wise for both the horses and ponies???
i know it depends on the horse etc etc but a rough guide would be great...
also, do you think its best to head over in the lorry or is it likely that someone there will be able to bring one or two back to the southeast? and if so, anyone from down here know how much that might cost?
are there any complications if i buy a couple and bring them back in my lorry? any paperwork or fees??
thanks

How do you mean paper work ?

Been to cavan sales quite a few times , used to jump there as well, its only about 2 hr drive from me , like you say it really depends on what you are looking as regards to prices .

Bringing your own lorry is fine .

I think it depends on what sales you're going to, at the irish draught sales the horses usually go for decent money but the sport horse/hunter/youngster sales can vary quite a lot, there has been big money spent up there but you can be lucky to get a a bargain, a bit like any sale I suppose. Personally I prefer Goresbridge.

Prices are reaosnable and then there is the odd one that goes for a lot of money- if nayone saw that appolosa in H and H a few weeks ago that was sold for loads- awful!!!

Anyway- well worth the trip over to see a good range of good irish horses! no complications with selling and taking hoem at all! Have fun!
