Only posted because I know you are rubbish on Facebook
but after today I have even more respect for the rescue work you do
On 1st December I helped with a transport run to take a rescued lurcher down to an animal shelter near my home; he was in a very sorry state, and had obviously been badly neglected. He reminded me so much of Talisker, my lurcher who I lost in December 2008, that I really wanted to take him home that same day, but I knew that my finances would not allow that

It turns out that he has bone cancer, which is likely to be quite advanced, so today he came home with my friend to have his last few days/weeks/months in a warm, comfortable, loving home who will give him everything he could want and will be there for him when the time comes that the final decision has to be made. Even typing this, I am crying for him
Which makes what you do every day even more amazing Cayla, I don't know how you do it, but thanks on behalf of all the dogs you help for the fantastic work you do helping rescues
