What do you think of his condition? still a little ribby but coming imo, opinions?

And vibes please, because soon after this photo was taken, silly billy got his legs in a muddle and slipped on the concrete, landing heavily and managing (somehow) to graze the base of his knees (thankfully not the joint line) and give himself a scare :(

Vibes please for no fat knees and quick healing please! :)

Hope his leg is ok *good vibes* for him.
At this time of year I think he looks perfectly good, spring will soon change things. Just looks like some more top line would be beneficial

Think he is looking very well as a hard winter has just passed. With the spring grass coming through and continued work etc etc he will surely build more muscle and condition :) He is super shiny btw but a total sausage for tripping over his own feet!!

Thanks guys for vibes and cc :)

He is soo hard to get weight onto! Hoping now that he is out all day he will start to put on weight (along with his haylege and outshine!) and be less ribby!

Numpty is sound, but have a lesson tomorrow, sods law or what :p

Out of curiosity, what are you feeding him??

I know of a few people that feed Dodson & Horrell 16+ (or something similar) to horses that aren't 16+ just hard to keep weight on, because it's the equine equivalent of a McDonalds calorie wise, with great success :)

He is on local feed (great stuff, most of horses around us are on it and they look fantastic) with 2 cups of outshine, chaff and at night he also gets a general vit supplement :)

If he does not put more weight on in next week or so, he will be going onto baileys no.1 as well :)
