This is my new little (well 16.2!) girlie.

She is 7, has been out of racing two months- so still very green- not seen fillers, coloured poles etc. She is extreamly sharp and threw in a number of huge bucks in the warm up area- this is just excitement and I hope something she will grow out of!

So this was on Monday- a nice little local show where the aim was to get her confident over a course of fences, listening and coming back to me.

The course wasnt very flowing- with lots of very tight turns, odd angles and there is a hill in the middle and lots of water filled ditches around (they use as a derby course!), but it is all good experience..

so here she is- Sorry the video starts slightly shaky and you get full commentry from a friend!!):

First round:

I know I need work- thats what happens when you've had one horse for over 15 years and then change to another

xx

AARRHH *Blushes* thank you people!!

She has got a lovely attitude- she is a real competition horse, always wanting to learn and please,

I dont think she had much option on the turns- one was very tight (second from end), literally rode towards the hedge and turned off a stride- I think this buzzed her up a little as the next round- she was really anticipating each fence (the course didnt change in between)

She is called..............

Mable!! xx

The class should have been 2'6, but I am doubtful it was to height- a few of the uprights early on were probably that.

I think once we get bigger she will back off a little, but dont want to rush things and break her confidence xx

Can't view the vid, for some reason taking ages to come on while I'm at work but well done, I'd be very chuffed with that if she's only been out of racing for that short time, keep up the good work, your must be really proud of her she's lovely!

Thanks Kenzo! I love your boy- always wanted a grey that colour that wouldnt get too mucky!

I love my greys, so shame Mable is not grey- but i think that is the only thing I would change! (but then it is nice the morning before an event- rock up- quick brush and go- instead of an hour long bath!)

I think she is doing very well- each day she takes in what we have done, so dont spend weeks trying to get the message across... good attitude xx

Like the name Mable!

it is growing on me!! I initially was in a rush to change it, but after I tell people and they laugh- its not too bad. I think the irony is I think of a little old lady when I hear her name....

and she is very far from that!!

She looks lovely! Reminds me of my old TB, he loved to bounce doubles even though he was only 15.2hh

Well ridden and well done to you for not rushing her. Mind you, I'd never have guessed she's only been off the track 2 months.
