I'm rubbish on conformation but trying my best to learn! So I was wondering if people could give their opinion on my pony please? We're not sure about his breeding apart from him being a welsh x and apparently crossed with some arab.

Hes a 14.1hh 13 year gelding, I bought him 8 years ago from his breeder. Hes a trypical cheeky pony! But has had alot of soundness problems so would be interested if thats something to do with him conformation. He doesn't do that much now i've got my TB, he mostly stays at home (which hes very disgusted about!!) but occasionally goes to dressage which he loves!

the only thing that sticks out to me is the size of his body to his neck, in the 2nd photo especially he has a nice muscly powerful looking body, hind-end and shoulder, and then a thin weak neck

also a little straight in the hind leg and upright in the shoulder


He also looks as though heels are too long putting the pastern axis all out (too upright) This may cause soundness issues

Just my opinion

He does look a nice sort though
