as you lot are good at giving advice, thought id ask you for some CC on my loan pony, these where taken in summer and at this point id had her for around 2/3 months maybe, ive had her around 6/7 months now, ive been told she is quite crooked and i assume this is my fault so what can i do about it?

i should upload a video but im supposed to be revising for exams and the video is taking forever to upload to photobucket!
also one in my sig, sorry if they are a bit big! CC appreciated :)

Well now look, she's not classically put together, in terms of her conformation and her markings detract from her shape somewhat (I'm also going to ignore the forelock butchering :-)) but she looks like a lovely, kind sort who you can have a lot of fun on. 'andsome is as 'andsome does, as the saying goes. On the ridden pic, I'd say put the saddle back just a shade first of all. Then sit on your bottom, relax your arms a little bit, let the weight fall through your leg down into your heel and carry your hands a bit more - remember classic straight line through forearm and rein to bit.

Ditto all of this.
Is this your first loan pony? She looks like a kind sort who I would just try and learn and have fun with rather than worry too much about crookedness etc. :)
See if you can get a friendly instructor if your worried.

she looks like a sweetie and a real fun pony. you seem to be sitting nicely but obviously its only a picture... re the pony im sorry but agree with the first reply im not to sure about the butchered forelock, also i know some people do but i dont think its correct (at all) to ride on the bottom ring of a dutch gag, if u need more 'leverage' it should be on roundings(dislike personally) or double reins(my preference), the angle of that bit is pretty harsh in the photos is she strong?(if so i would advise roundings) however i do love a spotty pony hope u have lots of fun with her :D

Ditto what everyone else has said, but to clarify a little, I'd get someone to check how you have the bit fitted as it seems low given the angle you have the reins at, then re-assess whether to use roundings or two reins. Further, I'd get the fit of the saddle checked, it's nothing like level which isn't helping with your position.

^^ yup this i think the pommel looks a bit low and this is probably making you a bit 'perched'...

She looks a real sweetie!

She does look to have a very dipped back behind the wither - is she quite an old pony? In the picture of you riding the saddle seems to be tipping forward and the pommel looks as though it's nearly touching her withers which is probably because of her dipped back. It might just need a bit of re-stuffing.

You look nice and confident on her and I think if you can get a good instructor for a couple of sessions, they will be able to correct any minor problems and also have a quick look at the fit of the saddle. I suspect you riding on your fork rather than your seatbones is down to the saddle being downhill at the front.

Now, get back to revising!:D
