Here's Howitzer, currrently being broken in, just turned 3 - he's bred for eventing, with Hanoverian dressage lines on sire's side, jump racing TB on dam's side. My initial thought was that he has a bit of an upside-down neck, but I've been assured that it's just muscle (not ewe necked) and will develop with exercise..!! Would be interested to hear thoughts from anyone in the know about eventer/sports horse breeding...

Hi,

I think that he looks lovely! I do think it is just work to help build up the correct muscle tone, but he is just a baby and still needs to grow into himself. I have a 8 yo irish sports horse by Cult Hero (eventing pedigree), hopefully this link will work, this is him when I first got him as a very green 6 year old:

Wow what a difference! He looks very TB in the first one, and more like a warmblood in the second one! I think once Howie has a bit of a neck he'll look less like a racehorse...
