If he is young , then poor thing for being allowed to get that fat, well if he is any age it is a terrible shame. Looks like laminitis waiting to happen
Agree he is bum-high and a bit overweight, more so than I would like, but I dont think he is hideously obese especially if he is a Highland or something.
I wouldn't worry about him being croup high, most of the Highlands i've come across in the time ive been associated with Islay have been. I think he looks rather sweet, have you been to view him??
Thought you wanted Islay or Twirl anyway?? I was just ordering a tonne of bubblewrap to parcel them up for you!!
Have you seen the top advert on HQ under Highland ponies?! He looks a lovely little chap, his name is Glenwestcastle Loch Buie. Reasonably priced too.... They don't tend to be on the market for long these highlands, particularly the good ones!!
Ooh lovely, i bet he would look like a different pony after a few months of work and a bit of a bath etc. Have you been to see him?? I think he's rather cute!!
He sounds like he has some nice lines in him too!!!
Just thought i'd pop a link up to the stud where we bought Islay from. It's called the Gissings stud and they have youngstock for sale. The website is: http://www.gissings-highland-stud.webs.com/
Lesley is really friendly and helpful and they have some really nice homebred stock there!!
I like him (although i am a huge highland fan) i think when he has matured he is going to be lovely, as for the weight, highlands could live off fresh air and still be fat
He's gorgeous, but there's no two ways about it- it's not his highland breeding- he is obese. He would need a major diet. Especially if he 'gets fat off fresh air' That's not an excuse... All that extra weight whilst he's still growing...
