Hi everyone Second time off the lead rein. Peter age 5 and Woody,quite ancient section A Peter been riding on and off last summer,and now for a month,hacking on the lead rein(walk/trot/canter),loves jumping What do you think?Future star in the making?

Forgot to add...Any exercises and ideas what to do on a walk? We doing weaving in and out,circles around something(like jump),walking on a straight ( i wish)line,walking over the poles. How to make interesting for a five year old? Thanks

OP my little one is 5 also - Traffic lights is a good one, also how about a stereo & child has to ride to beat of the music - pick couple of tunes that have all sorts of tempo!

My 5yo enjoys weaving in and out of plastic fence posts and also picking a cup up off on and putting it on another.

I also place to posts on a 20m circle so they get a feel of how big a 'big' circle should be.

We play musical statues with the iPod- halting when the music stops.

Stopping over a pole (front legs one side back the other)

No stirrups

Crossing the bridge- 2 parallel poles getting narrower and narrower

Touching the ears - bottom and her own toes with reins in one hand.
