CC Saddle + girth

New pony and I have been put into a close contact saddle and provided with a Dever girth. After an incident last week when I think he was pinched, I am wondering if the girth is the right one for him. He has a very long stride and when his shoulder is back his skin comes up against the girth and kind of ripples over it, and I think this is uncomfortable for him. I am maybe looking for a fleece girth as an alternative. Have tried to attach a video so far unsuccessfully. He is a baby pony ( 5yo) and I want to get this right before we go much further. Will try and add video in furhter down.

Is the girth an anatomical one? Having a fleece or sheepskin lined anatomical one will help the pinching, thats what I use and its worked wonders even just having his martingale attached on the outside as I am sure it pinched him too.
