Every time I think I have my mind made up 100% on a pup, or kennel etc CC pops up with another one :D (thanks though CC you may have just found me the ONE!)

I have put a deposit down on this gentleman, pending viewing him on Sunday. The lady I spoke to was wonderful and the kennel comes highly rated.

All I need now is someone to teach me how to show a GSD as I am getting excited about having a beautiful GSD!

Wow, looks expensive.

I thought you were having trouble keeping a roof over your head let alone buying a lovely expensive dog?
Im sure he will win his price back though: aswell as selling ed and buying a car AND moving abroad your going to be really busy. Do they do dog shows in Italy?

ETA: hes very cute indeed, hopefully, like CC said- this is THE one, this time.

Well he sounds amazing, he seems to be the ideal age - ready to go out and see the world but not too young and moreover the breeders both seem very, very good.

If anyone can help on lines etc that would be helpful, his Sire is Carlos vom Sudheimer Linde (don't know if Linde is part of his name or one of his suffixes sorry!) and his mum is a Conbhairean (forgotten her name prompty when I saw things like his ears :D)

Show  You want to SHOW him :eek::eek::eek:

There is no hope.....:o:o:o:o

He looks gorgeous, loving those ears :D:D

Yeah! I know!! But the more Im getting into researching bloodlines etc and the more I'm hearing, the more I think without the horse I might have some spare time and energy for coiferring(sp) and beautifying!

Although I understand you have to work your sheps before you show them?

Ooooh crumbs, sorry, I have no idea about working sheps... I shall await MM and CC to instruct you accordingly :):):) All I can say is that it is very addictive :D

Sheps don't need a lot of coiffeuring, but you are right, a lot of the shows need dogs to have some working qualifications before they can be shown, well the older ones anyhow. But you can still have fun with him at smaller shows, though of course it is important to train him anyway.

He is beautiful isn't he :) I just hope now once I get up there we gel, but lets face it, who can't gel with a pup that sweet?!

I already have a programme of activities for him including: meeting horses, meeting sheep, the obligatory pets at home visit (where upon usually everyone likes to stroke the puppies), the walk down town and the dog park :) But obviously one at a time and with lots of fuss and praise.

And of course puppy classes :D which he will inevitably, excel at because he's handsome :D

They should do, the Pet Passport means a lot of people from here are showing all over Europe and vice versa, there are a lot of handlers from here who are in demand over there so she shouldn't have a problem. Some of the bigger kennels and dogs on the world scene are Italian.

As an aside, I love the Conbhairean U litter by Carlos, they are all doing really well.

You only have to have working quals at certain types of shows but I'm all for it.
The show scene in Italy is very vibrant :)

Oh I see!! Well its clear I will need some help!

If ever you and the Bs need a holiday :D (a holiday that wont be a holiday that will actually be like day release :D ) Me being the one day released not you lol

He could be a HHO dog that conquers the showing world! Front page of HHO!

V1 means excellent 1. In other words if 7 dogs in a class are graded excellent then V1 is the best, then after the V dogs there are the SG, that mean very good, then g, which is good, then there is A which is sufficient, M which is faulty and U which is insufficient (the last 3 are translations of the german words, they are NOT gradings you want.) Oh and there is VA which is excellent select and is only awarded at the top Sieger show.

Rather a regal character isn't he?! :D

I hope it works out but it's just nice to update you all with what I'm up to seen as you've all been keeping your eyes and ears open with me for such a long time!!
