having taking the plunge and brought a 7.5ton lorry (yay!) i now need some CCTV to put in the horse area, but dont want to spend a fortune! my brother is a electrician so fitting it is not a prob i just dont want to spend £200+ on a unit. does anyone know where I can get them cheaper? or if any of you guys are selling one ;)

eBay - but if you don't have a leisure battery you may well be hooking up a 24v

If your brother is knowledgeable you should be able to get one, but you do kind of get for what you pay for!

Consider a reversing camera normally fitted to cars so that you can see where you are reversing. Maplins do cheap systems and for about £130 you can get a wireless camera and colour monitor. The benefit is it is designed to operate on car electrics and is easy to fit.

thanks guys...will nosey ebay when i get home, i was not sure if a reversing camera would do the same job, but its looking a cheaper option now! :-)
thanks guys x

It does do the same job rest assured! I have one in my trailer and because the lens is fisheye I have a fab view of the whole horse area for a fraction of the price of CCTV.
