I'm looking at getting CCTV for down our paddock, however we have no mains electricity, it all runs off those huge 12v batteries and we also live about a 2 minute walk, id say under 100m away. Id mainly like one for security, and also to see What he gets up to over night, because in the morning it like a bomb has hit the place :D :p

So... Any recommendations? :)

You can get such a thing as a camera that runs on solar panels. It emails you an image when it detects movement. . I have one for my dogs so I can check on them through the day when I am at work. Then I can connect to the camera on my phone to watch a live video feed and can actually move the camera around from my phone. Or cameras that take sim cards and you can phone the number to get image. Bit like face time on the iphone. Clever stuff.

Sorry late reply!

My dad is a tech geek, so he installed it into my house and paired it with my phone and computer at work. I will have to ask him about it, but I think the camera has its own IP address maybe, not 100% sure. I thinking its about £200 for the equipment maybe less. He was thinking of setting up a little business installing them. I am sure there would be a market for it! At the weekend he is putting two up at the stables, so I can check on the boys anytime. Dads are Lush!!!!
