I've got the trailer vision one in my 3.5t horsebox - it's great and although my boy is great to travel it just gives me peace of mind when I'm on my own with him. The monitor plugs into the cigarette lighter socket and the cameral runs on rechargeable batteries although I'm sure you can wire it into the electrics. I got mine from Burghley. It is basically a baby monitor which has been put in a different box so I'm sure using ebay you could get all the components for quite a bit cheaper.

Well i need something just for my piece of mind, i got stopped by the police the other day, and he must have gone mad, as he broke his headcollar and rope, i need just to know he is ok ?

Were would you suggest to put the camera in the trailer, does the camera cover a wide area ?

Not sure about in a trailer - I have it above the back doors of my van - horse travels facing backwards - and I can see more or less all of him. Probably put it up high at the front on a trailer. The people at Trailer Vision were really helpful and I think it had a 30 day money back guarantee.

Hope this is of some help

I have the trailer vision 2 and its fantastic. It was £200( now £230 ) but it was well worth the money. I have an ifor williams 505 and the camera is placed at the front above the window. it more than covers the whole width of the trailer front to back. i have it wired into the electrics on the trailer which was easy to do and my dad did it. Its a colour screen and works just as well in the dark would really recommend it!!!

I bought a wireless reversing camera from costco to put in my trailer for about £60.00 +vat, works a treat, nice little colour 2" screen, fits in the glove box when not used, powered the camera from the trailer interior light.
