Was wondering whether anybody has been around the intro at Central Scotland and whether it would be suitable for a 1st time intro?

It'll be mine and horses 1st intro and i'm really nervous as i've never evented before used to just pure showjumping!

Its a lovely course and a lovely setting. The course is fair and I'm sure you will do fine. I hoping that my sister and I will go and watch for a day.

there are easier 1st intros but its a lovely event. Just don't do a me & knock yourself out in the waterjump

It's got a coffin, corner, drop, and log into & out of water (think thats all the technicalish ones)

Only thing is if you are stabling, get there early very limited parking overnight.

Im planning to enter this (after not getting my entry in on time last time, seems very popular), but I personally am dropping down a class from Novice to PN I think. Just because Ive heard it is quite an up to height course.

I'm still attempting the PN this time after knocking myself out at intro last time

! So should see you there. Are you off to Kirriemuir?

Scone's a good first Intro. A lot of people I know use Scone as a first intro for their youngsters. It's not the most exciting of courses, though.

I'm still undecided as to whether or not I'll go. Probably will since baby horse is broken meantime.

Nic01 - Yup, doing the novice. Was planning to do the first one of the season as a PN but Kirriemuir is quite a calm course!

Is everybody doing Scone then? Does anyone know if I should do the Novice or just do the PN to be safe, since Ive never done Scone before or seen the course?! In fact, does anyone have pictures of the course (ie. I think event riders do it).

Hello stranger! I was just contemplating a "where's Noodlejaffa" post

MM - Not doing Brechin with D's arthritus & trying to get the youngster out & about I'll probably just be doing 1 a month. ETS Eventriders did but I haven't bothered to renew my subscription.

We should meet up, are you all stabling overnight?

Def not stabling at Scone. D hates it there. The one and only time we did stable there he refused to eat or sleep he was so stressed out. Horrible, horrible, horrible...Did you get the paper betting when you were there last year?

Fortunately, Scone's only a 2 1/2 hr drive for me do it'll be up and down in a day. A relatively close one (but not as close as Floors - 6 miles down the road, hurrah!).

What other BE's have you got planned if you're doing one a month?

I've had to change all my plans as my youngster's on box rest with mysterious lameness and we don't know what's going to happen with him. Shame, as I'd hoped to do Kirriemuir with him.
