Has any one had a young cat diagnosed with this?

My 11 month old female was diagnosed 6 months ago and would be interested to hear if anyone else has a cat with this and how they coped with it

Thanks

I have 2! Got given them due to this :) they are indoor cats because of it but are the most fantastic cats ever and wouldn't change them ever! They happily use a litter tray and apart from that they act as 'normal' as any other cat apart from they wobble :)
How bad are yours?

Your two sound a lot better than my one, she has now started to fall over quite a lot and has the shakes when she stands still, other than that she eats very well in fact has a voracious appetite and uses her tray but she does fall over in it from time to time.

I'm seriously thinking about her quality of life at the moment, I mean she still plays and loves to curl up with me and have fuss, but its distressing for me to watch her so it must be very confusing for her, but she is happy and bright in herself

Will be making an appointment at the vets in the next day or two to see what they think

Thank you for your reply though, it gives me some hope for her

Hope it goes okay at the vets, ours fall over occasionally buy just get back up and I think because they know no different think its normal! When we first had them we took them to the vets for a check up and they immediately wrote them off saying they may not have the best quality of life but they seem to cope, but you know your cat :) ours are now 3 this month and thankfully seem as happy as ever :)
Hope everything goes well with yours x
