My lovely pony  has now decided that Hi-Fi original is no longer tasty despite me adding copious amounts of pony nuts to tempt her, she is quiet a fussy feeder anyway!

I was thinking of giving Hi Fi Mollases free or Alfa a Mollases free a try, what do you guys use for your fussy feeders?

I used to use healthy hooves but my feed shop hasn't got any in stock at the moment and I fly to Eygpt Tuesday so need to get her something tasty for tomorrow!

For what purpose/ benefit are you feeding chaff? It's largely a filler to slow horses down eating the 'proper' feed, so if she doesn't eat it - it is a problem?

The problem is that she has her feed balancer and joint supplement mixed in with it, she has never had a problem with the joint supplement or feed balancer. The problem is she won't eat any of it. I add chaff to her feed as I don't not want to risk her getting choke. Ad as had the Hi Fi original for a few weeks now so it is defiantly that.

My boy has also gone off his chaff (he only gets this and a balancer). I've changed from Top Chop to Hi Fi MF and he still isn't interested and he is a greedy pony! He is favouring his haylage and the grass which is now coming through which is why I think he isn't interested in his teeny (unsweet) feed. I'm not changing again though as I'm sure give it a few weeks and he will decide that he actually does like his feed!

I have given up with chaff/chop with my trotter lad - he hates it, flings it around and tramples it in, waste of money, he now has just Bailey's high fibre nuggets when the others are fed and plenty of quality hay and a salt/mineral lick and good grazing come the summer and he looks good - actually too good!!

I had the same problem with chaffs...I'm now using a non molasses sugar beet speedi beet or kwik beet if you contact the companies they will send you a sample.

Haha oh bless him! This is probably what maybe is going to do to me! I just don't like her not eating for a few days at a time as she Is an older horse, I probably just worry about her too much!

ive just had a sample of the new baileys light chaff..its got no added sugar ore molasses and smells very minty.....my mare has been quite picky with feed this year and she seems to really like this chaff.. i am alsofeeding fast fibre so the chaff is just to bulk it up a bit so she has something to chew....
