i am trying to find out some information on chailey stud, i am looking to move my horse to a large competition yard, i showjump my self but have 2 horses one of which i would like a proffesional to ride for me. i have tried to look on the chailey stud website but the site seems to be down at the minute, so am after feed back as to whether it is a good place?

I am quite local to Chailey Stud and although i have never dealt with them personally, i have not heard anything bad about them.. I think Adrian does alot for the pony club teaching wise and i have only really heard good things. Brendon stud might be worth considering too if your looking down that way? or the Pavitts are in Copthorne, not sure how many liveries they do though. good luck!

Yep they hold Pony Club events there - daughter was part of the pony club. I used to work just up the road at the riding school never heard anything bad they have good facilities. Nice and local to show ground so not to far to travel. Friendly guy give him a call if website is down he may not know its down

I know it is very difficult to find a good place to keep your horses and it is always a good idea to try and find someone who has been there before. I considered sending my horse to Chailey Stud and managed to speak to a number of people who had horses there and their advice to me was to stay well away. They make all sorts of claims on how they look after your horse but do not do so. One person told me that they only ever ride the horses before you go to ride and unless you go often each week your horse will be kept in its stable all week. Indeed, they were told that their horse was put out in a field every day, however, they never saw it being out and later were told that during its period there it was never put out. Another person said that Adrian has very little patience and can get very heavy handed with the horses. My advise would be keep away.
