I think I might just be a tad paranoid but I'm worried my ned is going to step over the chambon and get caught up, as he lowers his head the chambon IMO goes quite low to the ground and if he were to have a whoopee would he get his feet over it??
I'm currently using it to get him to lower his head and stretch his back as he had an op for kissing spine in Dec and as part of his recovery I need to work him low as he has a distinct tendancy to stick his head up and fail to engage his back which he's learnt to be the most comfortable way of going even though he's now mended.
He will absolutely not tolerate a Passoa, side reins are too restrictive and long reining is difficult for me as I've also had an op on my right paw.
I've swapped an elastic bungee for the fixed part of the chambon so it 'gives' and he works well in it but can someone just pat me on the head and say it won't get caught in his legs!!
