as title really-how do they come up for sizing? wondering if i can squeeze into childs xl as much cheaper-? do they come upo big/small etc?

My daughter is a 10 year old who is about 5ft 2 and slimmish but the XL childs was almost too short and not as much width adjustment as the Small Adult which we bought but subsequently she has decided she doesn't like and it also is a touch too long for the saddle one of her 2 ponies has, and touches slightly. I'd imagine it's cheaper due to there being no VAT I'd think. There was a lot more difference in width than in height from memory. Decided we'd get the bigger one as she's already got a small bust and if anything like me might need the extra width later!
However I was contemplating selling it and trying something else as she really hasn't worn it (twice I think) since we got it in the summer. She's very attched to her old small BP which is almost tiny beyond safety, but also one of her 2 ponies has a saddle where the cantle sweeps up behind her quite high and the BP just brushes it at times which she finds annoying. She also says it's too big and gets in the way (exactly what she said when we got her other one) but I think this is because she is so used to the old one which she is hanging on to like a safety blanket!
I think you're going to have to try them on for fit, or get exact measurements: if it helps the S adult size is marked as for chest 82-90cm, waist 79-88, and waist->waist over shoulder 78-86cm.

this is my issue-I am 26 but only 5ft and a size 8 with not much bust atall!!!! The waist measurement for the adult small is from 79 cm which is 30 inches??!! I have a 26inch waist? I could try some on but noone near me stocks them so internet is my only method for that particular body protec tor.
