Hi everyone,
I need to change my address on my ponies passport. Do they actually change the address in the physical passport and if so how? Do they stick something over the old address? Re print the page taking out your old address and put new one in? Just curious really ? It’s a blue Pet ID one

I can look tomorrow but Robin has a pet Id one. From memory there is a page for different addresses. They fill that in and then stamp it.

Given everything that's been going on with Covid, when I changed my horse's ownership in his passport the passport authority didn't want me to send themm the passport - they sent me a sheet of stickers to add to it, and I filled some bits in myself as per their instructions. It all looks rather informal - I'm just waitig to get pulled up on it one day and have to whip out all the email correspondence!

Only the PIO can verify the change of ownership who issued the passport. The Equine Register (CED) wll rexcord the fact of the change but that is unverified. The BHHS issue a seperate Certificate of Ownership which is signed by the vendor and then retruned to the new owner. This avoids not having the passport with the keeper and it getting lost in the post.
