Change of ownership on horses passport

I am in the process of selling my mare, I've had her 12 months but have never got around to changing her ownership in to my name . The dealer that I brought her from is actually buying her back from me so he knows she's mine do I need to get her registered with me before I can sell her?

Is she going back to the same dealer? If so, I'm not sure I'd bother!

If she's going back to the same person, I wouldn't bother unless you are selling her for a considerable ammount of money. Especially of you have to send the passport abroad!
