I was supposed to have a lesson with Lucy T today, but she sadly had to cancel

However Norton Heath decided to move their unaffiliated SJ indoors (due to the forecast ) so for the 2nd week running I took Spider there for showjumping.
Another plus point, was that as I was doing classes 2 & 3, and there was clear round & a class first, it wasn't even an early start for once

He has really come on in the last few months & as his canter is so much more balanced, the fences seem to come to us & it feels like he takes it all in his stride. Plus I'm not over-riding it all

He jumped a double clear in our first class & come 3rd and had a clear & 4 faults (just rubbed the 2nd fence, but it made him jump higher for the rest of the course

) in the second class and came 5th

So we got to do 2 prize givings, with lap's of honour

which we both enjoyed.
I'm really pleased with him & his progress, but just as importantly, I'm finally enjoying my showjumping. I walked both courses & didn't feel any of the fences were too big, so I think we're both ready to start jumping a bit bigger. My aim now is to hopefully be jumping british novice with him by the new year.
I could even get in to this SJ lark, having mainly done BE or BD for as long as I can remember

we shamefully had the 2nd part of the double down in th JO (silly me wearing no spurs and having no whip!!!)

glad to hear you are enjoying your jumping again now - now your enjoying it with a bit of luck the rest will come sooo much easier to you

oooh... Hello again. I met a HHO'er & didn't even realise it

I thought it was great fun & very low key which was lovely. There were loads of kids there first thing for the early classes & they all seemed to be having fun. Plus everyone was really friendly.

We have all crossed that it is nothing serious but swelling and heat are pointing in the heartbreaking direction of a tendon injury

only time will tell and he is not HUUUGELY lame, but is obviously avoiding pain

It was fab fun and actually very nice to do something not very serious for a change!!!!

It was fantastic to see the little kids having fun which is always fab to see.

I am off to NH again this Sat for the BSJA intro - classes undecided as yet!!! i think i might just put them in a hat and pull them out lol!!!!
