I know wind turbines don't bother some horses but in case this is an issue for you...
Prior to the introduction of the new National Planning Policy Framework last week it was government policy (PPS22) to require wind turbines to be a minimium distance from a bridleway. This was based on advice from the BHS.
The introduction of the NPPF did away with PPS22 so it now appears developers can put them closer to bridleways unless your Council sets guidance in the Local Plan. I suspect some developers are busy changing the layout for some proposed wind farms because the removal of this guidance will allow more turbines on some sites. That's either good or bad news depending on how close you live.
I've not checked if the NPPF has retained previous guidance on ice fall.
