Changing a herringbone lorry to forward facing?????

I'm off to see a lovely lorry on Sunday and it's perfect in everyway apart from the fact that it only takes upto 2 15hh herringbone which is fine for me as i'll mostly be travelling my 14.2 on her own but if you converted it forward facing you could put at least 2 15.2hh's on it as the height is great it's just the width thats not quite wide enough for a full up horse.Would like to be able to keep the lorry for many years and i might well have a bigger horse one day so my ? is how much do you think it would cost? Am i being silly thinking i could convert it or shall i look at something bigger,it's just what i'm looking for,it'll do me for a while but it'd be nice to think i could change it in the future to carry a slightly taller horse,would be no bigger than 15.3hh by the way,that's my limit! Any views welcome

A lot depends on how the weight is. We moved a partition out last week to travel two horses further back giving us extra tack room. The lorry felt terribly unbalanced and we have moved everything back!
I do know someone who did what you're suggesting but I bet a lot depends on the length of the lorry body and where the wheels are underneath.. I'd ask a lorry builder for advice I think...
 
I think it is possible. What type of lorry is it?

The thing you need to be careful of, is to ensure that when forward facing, with the partition in, the horses have plenty of room to spread their legs.

You will also have to think of how you are going to get the horses in and out - most forward facing have a side ramp -( which personally i dislike) yes you can probably change to forward facing i would be looking at having 2 partitons to give you a chanel down the centre for human access.
