I love Alfa Oil, my boy has a fab coat on it even though he is clipped. I also don't like molassed chaffs, and the Alfa oil isnt molassed, and the boy loves it.

Agree with Kat B - the benefit of Alfa A Oil is that it is unmolassed and the added oil and vitamin E is good for my girl as she needs a high fibre high oil diet but even if this is not required, the added oil will aid the coat etc and as said before, unmolassed I think is healthier as low in sugar.

I have gone back to alfa a with oil - after just a week my mare's coat is much sleeker (she is unclipped) and despite being off work due to an injury she has not dropped any condition. Having read up on the effect of molasses can have I like the fact that it is molasses-free too - horse is SLIGHTLY less crabby!

My horse is on Alpha-a oil and she has got a really good coat.

When i first got her it was very rough and not very shiny but after being on that and lots of grooming her coat is sooooo much better.

It also helped her to put a bit of weight on when she dropped it just before the winter set in.

I've just gone on it, to help with his coat, plus he'll be hunter clipped for first time this winter so I expect he'll tuck in quite a lot. He just gets a scoop full on an evening (thats the only hard feed he has), so hopefully will just give him enough to keep a good weight. He's been on it about a week now, but I'm away at university at the moment so not entirely sure if it has started working etc.
