My youngster is out 24/7 - has been since birth. I have been thinking about bringing him in at night to establish a routine and keep an eye on his weight. It will be an extra £25 per week.

Good idea?

I think it's beneficial in the sense of handling reasons! Get him well handled when he's young and good manners should follow!

How old is he??
It is better to be out as much as possible for youngsters. Have you thought of bringing him in for a haynet, feed and a bit of fuss and putting him out again?? Honestly if he has been ok out since young then keep at it until you really have to bring him in.
Only my opinion tho!!

I think it's beneficial to get youngsters used to being in a stable as young as possible - they do far less damage to themselves AND the stable ;o) but other than that I think it's great to keep them out as much as possible but ensuring they are handled as much as possible...
