changing passport and microchipping details

hi, i need help in who to contact to change my new horses details. all i have in his passport is the microchip number but no idea as to who put it there. his last owners said that he is still registered to people in france so i dont know what to do.

if it helps he is an american ex-racehorse who raced in france up until two years ago when he was brought to this country.

any help appreciated thanks
 
I presume he is a TB? You can send the passport to Wetherby's and they will transfer him into your name. They will be able to trace his details through the microchip number as well.
